Power Box Rake

The Mumby tractor mounted range of Power Box Rakes are designed to carry out all your ground preparation requirements of: CULTIVATING – LEVELLING – GRADING – PULVERISING – STONERAKING – all in one operation making it the ideal landscaping preparation tool.  All models are manufactured for long life with quality parts including a carbide tooth rotor, capable of working in the most arduous ground, over many years of maintenance free use. The strong 3-point linkage frame is fitted with rear depth control castor wheels – the 540rpm pto transmission is protected via an overload clutch.  Stone/debris removal is achieved by the side plates and adjustable barrier blade mounted above the carbide tooth rotor, and for working on larger areas the rotor can be hydraulicly angled for windrowing to the side.

Working Principle

The heart of the Mumby Power Box Rake is the carbide tooth rotor which turns in a contra rotating direction allowing the teeth to penetrate the ground, loosening and lifting the soil – clods are pulverised and the fine soil is forced backwards up and over the rotor – an adjustable barrier blade made from a special synthetic compound control the size of material screened spread over the ground – All larger stones and debris are raked forward with the side plates containing the spoil in the front of the rotor – to the end of the run – the depth control is accurately maintained by the rear castor wheels (available via screw jacks) For working on larger areas the rotor can be bi-angled and side plate removed to windrow  the stones/debris to the side and by working in a sequence the windrow of stones can be continually moved across so large areas can be raked off quickly and efficiently. An optional laser control kit is available for raking to a finer tolerance of +/- 3mm.
